I’m organizing a beauty pageant for a local festival and need to come up with some good questions for the judges to ask the contestants. I thought maybe, “If you could go anywhere in the world, where would it be and why?” and “If you could meet anyone in the present or the past, who would it be and why?”
Any ideas?
1. You marry your High school sweethart, David McCoy. You both go to the same college, and are trying to get that same degree. On the last day of classes before you get your degree, doctor tells you you are 6 weeks pregnant already. You two are so excited, you go on a vacation to the place you went on your honeymoon. While there, you pick names for a boy and for a girl. Later, you find out it is a girl, so you decide to name her something original that starts with a C, and the middle name that somwhow reminds you of your vacation. What do you name her?
2 years later, on your daughters 2nd birthday, June 23rd to be exact, you aren’t feeling well, and you decide to go to the doctor. Surprise! You are nearly a month pregnant, with another girl, you later find out. after 9 months and 3 weeks, you still havent given birth, and the baby is abnormally large, and so large doctors predict it wont be able to come out, and they plan to get a c-section done asap, before you go into labor. Well, too late, you are in labor, and give birth to a beautiful baby girl. The doctor tells you that the baby grew too large(9lbs 3 oz) and caused problems to your ovaries, and you can’t get pregnant on your own again. You name your daughter something that means beautiful and you use your Great-grandmas name as her middle name. What is her name?
when your first daughter is five, and and your second daughter has just turned two, you and your husband decide you want to have another child, and you decide on fertility treatments. they are successful, but you are having TRIPLETS!!!! you couldn’t be happier! It is two girls and a boy. Devastating news. One of the Girls has severe deformations, and is not developing properly, and doctors tell you she will probably only live a few hours after birth. You decide to pick a name anyway, something that means strong, because you believe she will be strong and will survive this ordeal. The other two you name after you best friend, a couple who both you and your husband like a lot, and they were very good friends, and they died in a car crash. Their names a Annebelle and Joseph. The names of your triplets all start with the same letter, and the name of one girl means strong, the other girl and boys middle names are named after Annebelle and Joesph.
Your strong baby girl survives, like you knew she would, although she does have severe deformations. She will never be able to eat normally, she will have to eat through a tube, she will have to be on oxygen her whole life, and she will never be able to talk, or walk. But you do not care, because your child defyed the odds and survived. You are so happy and you decide you want just one more child, another son. This time you adopt another special needs child from China. When you adopt him he is 4 months old, and has a condition that will eventually kill him ,but he was abandoned and you want him to have a chance at life. He has a condition that basically means his internal organs are growing at a much faster pace than normal, and his bones and skin can not grow fast enough, and eventually, doctors predict in his late teens or early twenties, his organs will be so big they will cause too much stress on the body and he will die. He will have to use crutches to walk. You name him something chinese, to celebrate his heritage. What is his name?
1. girl- C______, vacation reminder
2. girl- beautiful, great grandma’s name
3. girl- strong, __________
. girl, same first letter as above, similar to Annebelle
. boy, same first letter as above, similar to Joseph
4. boy, Chinese, ________

Love is always beautiful; if it is ugly it is not love. So why is art considered beautiful even if it is down right ugly?
What do you consider art? How do you perceive beauty? I have been trying to answer these questions for months and have gotten nowhere. I would really like to have some heart felt answers please, not something copied from a website, but written from the heart and mind of the writer.

I appreciate all opinions, and thanks to everyone who takes the time to read my story. I work for a cleaning company and was stripping floors and slipped an fell into the stripper, I could not wash the stripper off my skin for at least an hour. I found out like 2 days later that I was pregnant. I told my supervisor and she said that they do not have to give me any light duty or accommodations because I was pregnant and so she still wanted me to strip the floor, I also checked with HR and they confirmed thats true. The floor stripper contains solvents which is the same stuff they put into paint thinner. It soften the wax and makes it really slick so it can be peeled and scrubbed off, then we had to apply new wax which also contains solvents and ammonia. I was doing this through the majority of my first tri of pregnancy. When I was 20 weeks pg I found out my son had a tibia bone in his left leg that only grew half way and his ankle bones were completely deformed. I was 24 years old and the daddy was 49, but neither of us have any history of birth defects in our families. At first one of his doctors were concerned about NF1 which is genetic disorder that rarely causes skeletal deformities but he does not have any signs or symptoms of this disorder which usually when a baby is born with NF1 they come out with huge maroon looking birth marks all over the face and arms which he did not have and still don’t. The doctor is very confident that he does not have NF1 now. There was nothing they could do for his foot so they amputated his left foot and ankle when he was 10 months old. I have done some research over the internet and found a lot about solvents cause birth defects, and how women exposed to these chemicals while pregnant are 13 times more likely to have children with birth defects. I know workers comp can take care of me, but they don’t cover the baby.So that’s my story, my question is would you take legal action against your work for this if this was your son, and do you think that this would be a strong case if so? Keep in mind I am still employed at this place because I still need a job to take care of my son, I also slipped on the stripper before I found out I was pg.. Thanks again, soooooo much.
I do have documentation. Also I did not know that these fumes where this dangeros, so I was taking a risk I did not know about. I just researched this about solvent after this all happened.
well I am sorry some of you feel that way about me, and I am glad that I am not that kind of person to take to hart what you say or I would be blaming myself the rest of my life for what you say. I needed a job, Im sure some of you in my position would have done the same if it came down to putting a roof over your baby’s head, feeding him, and buying diapers. I do not have family that can help. I was and still am not in the finacial situation to quit my job, my job however crappy it is, is also paying for me to go to school. I just want to make sure I can give my baby the life I never had, so genetically, chromosome may be partly my fault I don’t know, but if it was chemical exposure That is no way my fault, and if I knew it would have done that to my son, I prob would have quit but my doc and work both said these chemicals were harmless to the baby and they were both wrong so before some of you go tring to make people feel bad, really think before you write please, but thanks anyways
She has eczema, which was obviously inherited from my husband, who inherited from his father. Her face flakes a lot, and baby wash isn’t helping. Cetaphil was ineffective. I was wondering if she was too young to use facial wash and cleanser. She doesn’t have any acne, just a few blemishes. But I don’t really care about the pimples, acne, blemishes, etc. I’m talking about any facial products to not irritate her skin condition.
If the girl was of pakistani/indian origin and had fair skin, brown eyes and medium brown hair, and the boy was of african origin and had dark chocolate skin, black hair and dark brown eyes, what would their baby look like.? What skin colour etc.?
The girl looks something like this:

And the boy looks something like this:

Thanks In Advance.
Pictures Would Be Appreciated =]
Good morning. My LO is 7 months old and I took him to the doc yesterday because of a rash- turns out it is Eczema.
Thankfully he doesn’t seem to notice it, he doesn’t appear to be itchy.
The doc suggested hydrocortisone cream but we’re wanting to avoid steroid creams. She suggested Eucerin Calming Cream and Cetaphil but I’m worried about some of the chemical components.
So far here’s what I’ve been trying (granted it’s been only 2 days); I don’t think it’s improving, but, it’s not getting any worse…
Moisturize every diaper change. Have been using coconut oil but it seems he is too greasy from it, would prefer something that absorbs into the skin more. It’s organic but not virgin and not refined- could that be the problem?
Before bed he gets a lukewarm oatmeal bath (and moisturizing right after).
Going to try Happy Bellies cereal with probiotics in it (waiting for OK from doc to proceed with probiotics). He is also breastfed and has a milk protein sensitivity- I inadvertantly had dairy products and that’s when the Eczema showed up so I’m being very strict with my diet again (also trying to avoid soy now).
I think the key would be finding a more creamy moisturizer — natural/holistic and not so greasy.
What have you tried? What skin care regimen do you follow for your LOs?
Thanks bunches! ![]()
For the breastmilk suggestion: Do you know how often to apply it and how much? I think I can pump 4-6 oz in the morning.
I don’t mean the pretty, pink-skinned, healthy ones. I mean the darker-skinned ones, plus of course the crack babies, abused infants, prostituted teens and others who then grow up to perpetuate the problem. Or do we just pass a law against them, too?
Seriously, though, what is the religious right’s answer to the question of unwanted and/or abused children that would arise from “life begins at conception” social policies?
