Johnson and Johnson and Aveeno are both great products.
If it is a newborn, do not put baby lotion on their skin…they don’t need it and their skin is so delicate it can irritate it.
Also, do not use baby powder…it is not safe for them to inhale (or anyone for that matter).
Hope this helps.
If you are a first time mom, does your hospital have any classes for new parents?
My husband and I took a class before we had our baby and it was really helpful for new parents.
I don’t use anything but plain water. No soaps, shampoos, lotions, etc. If one of my little ones gets dry skin in the winter I use either olive oil or Lansinoh instead of lotion. I also use Lansinoh for diaper rashes, chapped lips, and chafed skin.

They say you aren’t supposed to really use anything on a newborn just plain water….BUT I used Johnsons. I love a good smellin baby!
